Late June 2017

Location: Dreamcatcher Outdoors Private Ranches

Due to the large amount of snow over the winter the water was still a bit high into late June. The fishing was pretty dang good considering the water levels. Most of the fish were concentrated on the slow water. The fish were eating stonefly nymphs, worm patterns, hares ear’s, pheasant tail nymphs, and streamers. There were a lot of bugs around but most of the fish were staying subsurface. We have managed to find a few fish feeding on top, with parachute adams and stonefly patterns getting a bit of attention. Water levels drop quickly this time of year and the river is getting better everyday.
